Due to low inventory two is the maximum quantity per order of the carbon Loop H-Bar.

The Carbon 710mm Loop H-Bar weighs only 275g (this is 250g less than the 525g aluminum version). It passes the same strict EN/EU mountain bike standards as the aluminum and titanium bars. It is identical to our existing Loop H-bars — all the same natural hand positions, control and comfort, but 47% lighter!!

The cross bar on the Loop H-Bar sweeps forward to allow the levers to go behind the cross bar instead of in front. This gives longer uninterrupted hand positions and will allow trigger and grip/twist shifters to fit on the rearward extensions (unlike the original H-bar). The continuous front loop of the bar enhances stiffness and is good for additional aero hand positions and mounting lights, GPS devices etc. This bar provides comfort and power with an impressive weight. With the levers in the optimum position you get a wide range of hand and body positions, from fully upright at the ends of the grips, to a tucked aero position when resting your forearms across the crossbar and loop.  In between these extremes, there are many unique and useful positions, making this a true multi-position bar because you'll actually find yourself using all of the positions! The rearward extensions allow extra leverage and a wider hand position - be it for comfort or power. All H-bars are for a 31.8 stem and the crossbar is now tapered and butted with a 31.8 mm clamp area. The grip tubes on the aluminum version are also butted for strength and weight savings.  All H-Bars have a standard 22.2mm diameter grip area.

Try wrapping the crossbar with bartape!  You can wrap both the crossbar and loop (but it helps to leave a gap in the center of the loop to mount whatever gadgets you have), if you want to have the most hand positions!

    Carbon is awesome!

Winter fat biking without heat sink! 710 allows me options to minimize fatigue on bikepacking adventures, and more carrying capacity. Best upgrade I can think of on my Salsa Mukluk.

    Old Cyclists Never Die

Posted by Richard Whittington on 8th Jun 2016

I am 63-years-old and have been riding bikes since I was a child except for about four years when cervical stenosis took me off the bike. I raced road bikes for more than ten years and mountain bikes for three years during my twenties and forties. I have ridden cross country, Austin to Mexico City; Amarillo, Texas to Encinitas, California and six weeks in Europe.

The cervical stenosis was slowly crushing the nerves radiating from my neck causing pain in my neck and shoulders. I finally had to quit riding altogether. After a few years, I started experimenting with upright handlebars on different bikes I had as something had stabilized in my neck vertebra. I finally settled on Nitto Albatross bars as they provided a nice balance for positioning on the bike.

A good friend sold me his 2013 GIANT Anthem Advanced FS MTB about a year ago and I began experimenting with different stems and riser bars. The JONES Bikes H Loop 710 was suggested as a bar with many position options. I bought the aluminum version of the bars and have ridden them for almost a year now.

I love the JONES Bikes H Loop 710s so much I decided to upgrade the GIANT with the carbon version so I can move the aluminum bars over to my TREK Project One road bike. I still run the Nitto Albatross bars on my SURLY Karate Monkey single speed.

Thanks Jeff for designing such a great handlebar.
